Travers Reid Award 2007

TRAVERS REID AWARD 2007
The Travers Reid Award is made annually in honour of the co-founder and Life President of the Association for Research into Stammering in Childhood, the charity which jointly funds The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children.

It is open to any speech and language therapy student whose research project written within the last three years is on the subject of stammering.

The winner of the Award for 2007 is Rachel Skurczynski, from Birmingham City University.

Rachel’s project is entitled:

“A comparison of individuals with fluent and dysfluent speech; to determine if they have a different telephone preference”

The presentation of the Award and a cheque for £300 was made by Travers Reid, ably supported by Michael Palin, on Tuesday 11 December at the Michael Palin Centre’s Christmas Party.
